Our mission
Catherine’s mission is to improve the health of the Creston and Belknap area residents through treatment, motivation, screening, education and referrals. When necessary, we help patients find solutions within the broader health care delivery system, where some of them may have previously encountered obstacles.

The center sees itself as “your neighborhood working together for a healthier you.” We work toward this by collaborating with health agencies, hospitals, schools, churches, homes for the elderly, service clubs and neighborhood organizations, to bring our patients the finest health care available.

Catherine’s is a member of the National Association of Free Clinics and of  Free Clinics of the Great Lakes Region. The director at Catherine’s, Karen Kaashoek, RN, is also director of the Southwest Region of Free Clinics of Michigan. She is a former state coordinator of that organization and served as president of its board in that role.
